Fiji Return March 2025

A placeholder of sorts that all too often remains permanent.  Vic and I were in Fiji from the latter part of March 2025.  While there we spent time in Nadi, then to Suva staying with Robin Taylor. Then one night at Toberua Island off the coast. I could see Ovalua and Motoriki in the distance and my heart longed for them too of course.  Forty years now since I first layed eyes and my heart on the Islands of Fiji.

We returned to Suva and on March 24 we married.  I cried (of course) for all that each of us has gone through to get to this sacred place and the relief, the joy, happiness and compassion we share for each other. True dedicated love of my life.  Not many get to have this.

From there we flew to Nadi for another two days before leaving.  Saw Dale Hermanson and his partner Robin and what a great couple,  He never left Fiji and has been there 40 years now.

So here we are, back in America facing the disaster that we have become.  And to think it is just beginning, the tearing down of a great nation but unrecognized by the party that claims more superiority and patriotism.  It is a mark of distinction and warning that even writing these words can be declared betrayal under the new rules.  Freedom of speech met with prosecution.

They thought COVID was bad.  So tearing down the public health system results. If, and when H5N1 crosses the rubicon to human transmission it is going to get very dangerous.  We have plans to retreat but in the end nothing may save us.  From H5N1 or the dissolution of America.  It's final last spasm of military might and gasp of final breath.
